Case Study: Old consol table

Our client presented me with this table which had been poorly looked after by the family. Used for various activities including arts and crafts with the children.

Some structural damage to the table top which I repaired before sanding the entire table. Although this table looks like solid wood it was actually veneered. After repairing the damage and sanding a coat of primer was applied.

After another light sand, two to three coats of farrow and ball estate eggshell paint were applied. Finally, I re-fitted the existing handles. The table now sits proudly in the client’s bedroom.
