Case study: Renovated kitchen

This is a Clive Christian Kitchen fitted approximately 20 years ago in a new house in Edinburgh. My client recently bought the house and wished to change the look of the kitchen. The client had new work surfaces fitted. All the doors and drawer fronts were removed and primer was applied. Note the detail on the extractor hood in the finished images. If you look at the first picture you will notice the open fret work on the extractor, to give a more modern look I covered this with thin plywood. The paint used was Farrow & Ball ‘Pointing’ estate eggshell. I suggested leaving the slats in natural wood on the island which makes it a more serviceable area as well as a contrast to the paint.
