The owners of this kitchen in Edinburgh had new MDF shaker style doors made and fitted by their joiner. I was commissioned to paint them in Farrow&Ball Wimborne white.
The doors were taken away to our workshop and as they were already bare MDF there was no need for sanding this time. Even though they were new doors there were still a few areas that we felt needed to be filled, so after filling and sanding it down making sure we had a smooth, clean, gap free surface they were ready to be primed. They were primed with the specialist primer we use before having multiple coats of the colour.  On site after making sure all the surfaces were properly protected, it was given the same treatment of our specialist primer and then finish with the colour. All the doors and areas in the kitchen are lightly sanded between each coat of paint, from primer to final coat, so as to keep the surface smooth.
My clients were overwhelmed by the difference the new light colour made to their somewhat dark kitchen(you may just notice the dark grey end panels on the before pictures, the original doors were the same dark grey colour melamine finish).
