This dated Clive Christian kitchen was in very good condition. However, the owner wanted a modern new look. They asked if anything could be done to the corner pilasters. I suggested removing them entirely, they asked their joiner to carry out this work however, he said he was unable to remove them, so it was down to me! The spindles …
Rescuing a badly painted kitchen: back to basics
Yet another kitchen that I painted five years ago. The client asked me to change the colour three years later and at the time I was so busy that the client decided to use someone else. Complete kitchen makeover
I carried out this work in Stirling a few weeks ago. The client also had tiling and decorating carried out to complete the transformation. Quite a different style of kitchen to my usual jobs, a real transformation on this one. The colours are a match to ‘Purbeck Stone’ & ‘Railings’ from Farrow & Ball. New brass handles were also fitted.
I was in Edinburgh this week, working locally for the first time in a while. My clients wanted to keep some of the wood in their kitchen, but also wanted to brighten the room up. I suggested painting the ceiling, doors and drawer fronts, which really transformed the room. Here are some before and after photos.
