After alot of preparation and sanding out the original heavily distressed and painted Chalon kitchen, I have finally finished repainting it. I pretty well matched the original colours but my client didn’t want the same level of distressing. It hadn’t been touched since it was installed 25 years ago. I’ve included some photos of the level of sanding required. The …

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
Seasons greetings! Having a short break and then I’m fully booked until late April next year so, if you’re thinking of getting any work carried out I would advise contacting me as soon as possible.
Happy Christmas!
Happy Christmas and New Year to all my clients, and here’s to a more peaceful 2021.
Solid oak kitchen given a makeover
This was a perfectly good solid limed oak kitchen in need of new life. The doors were removed, completely sanded down then painted in ‘Tikkurila Helmi 10’ mixed with ‘Farrow & Ball’ railings. New handles were fitted to complete the new look. My client is delighted with the result. A complete transformation in one week.
Seaside kitchen
‘I do like to be beside the seaside’ This gallery is from a recent trip to East Lothian to paint a beautiful kitchen. This is the second time I’ve painted this one, and I must say I enjoyed the views even more this time. It’s finished with Farrow&ball ‘Teresa’s Green’.
First Post Lockdown Kitchen
I’ve just completed my first kitchen since restrictions lifted here. Ths second lockdown has felt even longer than the first for some reason, and I’m pleased to be back. What could be a more fitting colour for a spring kitchen than this lovely spring green? I hand painted this kitchen in Currie, Edinburgh, giving it a new lease of life. …
Painting my own kitchen
Due to finding myself in lockdown again I decided it was a good opportunity to carry out the re-painting of our own kitchen. This has been in the planning stages for quite some time, we had planned on replacing the worktops but my fitter couldn’t manage to carry this out pre Christmas and since then we’ve been unable to obtain …
Paint don’t scrap!
I painted this Edinburgh kitchen recently. The owners moved into this house, and decided it would be wasteful to replace the 14 year old kitchen even though they disliked the style. I painted it using Farrow & Ball’s Wimborne White and changed the handles on the units. The Edinburgh customer called it ‘a transformation’ and commented how fresh and modern …
Dramatically changing a kitchen with paint!
First kitchen of 2020 finished today. My clients recently bought this house, the kitchen was only a few years old but didn’t suit their style. They chose this very unusual colour ‘Mercer’ from Craig & Rose. New white goods are still to be installed and new flooring and plinths.
